Its already Mid-July!

This summer has been such a busy whirlwind! Weeks have been flying by and I am worried that in a blink the whole summer will be over and fall will be upon us.  I usually love fall because it brings change and fashion but summer is definitely my favourite! Sun dresses! Walking barefoot outside! Long days! What’s not to love?

This post is me making a vow to myself that I will take time to enjoy the rest of what summer has in store! … and also share with you guys our current adventure!

The Hollows is taking part in Taste of Saskatchewan! We are so lucky to be connected with such a passionate restaurant! They are bringing their love of locally foraged ingredients and sustainability to an event that has begun to gain a reputation for the amount of waste it produces. The Hollows is hoping to inspire change by ensuring everything they use is compostable and by providing the public with a place to deposit their waste.

Chef Christie Peters was kind enough to invite us on a foraging excursion to Happy Bug Farms to document it and snap some pictures for the paper!

Here are a few of my favourite shots from that day!
